Cell Block C is a location in the Prison and featured in Dead Island. It is the final cell block for housing inmates and is where the finale of both Dead Island and the DLC Ryder White's Campaign is held. Cell block C is the most bureaucratic of the cell blocks, housing far more facilities only available to guards, though it is still primarily a wing for more cells. The heroes come to cell block C at the end of the main game with the cure in search of Ryder White, who they have been talking to. However, they get gassed in the elevator after travelling to it via the sewers and the cure is stolen. They run through the hospital, which is located in this wing, before reaching the roof for a showdown with White.

In the Ryder White's Campaign DLC for the game, Ryder never leaves cell block C as he unwillingly follows Charon's instructions under the promise of the cure bring brought by the heroes. Following what Charon asks him to do, he makes sure the path for the heroes is as clear of obstacles and zombies as possible before placing a canister of gas in the elevator to knock out the heroes when they arrive. However, he locks Charon in the control room and takes the cure himself under his delusion that his wife has not yet turned into a zombie and is still able to be saved, collecting her from the hospital and heading to the roof where the heroes finally catch up with him.

Layout[]

While we never see the cells area of cell block C, we can assume they would be nearly identical as those of cell block A and cell block B, with three tiers of cells, a central control room, thin barred walkways and metal stairs to get to them. However, we can get to other parts of the cell block, since it's not just for cells but the name of the entire section of the prison. Included in the cell block as a whole is Death Row, the Execution Room, Control Room and an armoury which is stacked full of weapons and equipment still.
