lockboxes are special containers featured in Dead Island 2 that contain unique items. They are locked with a key, which can be obtained by defeating a nearby named zombie that is related to the lockbox. Typicall items found in lockboxes are mod blueprints, perk blueprints, unique weapons and superior weapons with pre-applied mods and perks.
