Canale Street is a location featured in Dead Island within the city of Moresby. It is a small alleyway consisting of shops and small stalls. The street starts from Queenscliffe and gives a direct link into Quarantine without having to climb either buildings or guard towers to enter it. Canale Street is one of the locations where the quarantine attempt failed, as there's a piece of barrier that's been pushed open, allowing infected free access to the rest of the city.
Layout[]
Canale Street is less of a street and more of a very tight, enclosed and claustrophobic alleyway. The way into Canale Street is up some stairs from Queenscliffe, with the alleyway entrance easy to see. However, the alleyway itself is overrun by clutter, overturned bins, stalls and bodies. Due to how thin it is, you can barely get two people next to each other when heading through it. There's also a lot of tall walls and debris which blocks your line of sight when on the ground, which can easily lead to your death. Combine this with the fact that it leads directly into the heart of Quarantine means you'll get bombarded by Infected, many of which will come out of no-where due to the lack of sight lines. Canale Street is an easy no-go zone within Moresby, as there's no good loot and it just serves as a way to get into Quarantine for whatever reason.
Notes[]
- You can find Tape Recorder #4 can be found on the roof of a building just to the side of Canale Street, up a ladder next to its entrance.
- Canale Street is best avoided at all times, due to the claustrophobic layout, lack of sight lines and close proximity to a Quarantine breach. Infected will come from everywhere and you can't see them coming. There's no loot and no reason to ever come near it.
