Bungalow 17 is a location featured in Dead Island. It is located near the Hotel in the Silver Bungalows district of the Resort. The side door to the bedroom has been broken down and the door to the front room is locked. Omar Torres is found here, trying in vain to get through to the main room. He gives out the side quest Hit and Run to retrieve the keys to the room and the safe inside. After that, he asks to be escorted to the nearby Lifeguard Tower in the side quest Omar Escort, leaving the bungalow once again abandoned.

Layout[]

Like all bungalows in the Resort area, the bungalow follows the same build and layout. It has wooden walls and doors, with a thatched roof and some small windows. It has the double door main entrance, which is locked when you first arrive, plus two side doors, once of which is broken down to the bedroom where Omar got in. The numbering on the side of the bungalow near the side door is damaged, however, with the number '1' hanging upside down next to the 17, where the top nail has fallen out, allowing it to swing upside down.

Inside it has the same basic layout as well. You enter through a side door to the bedroom, which has a single bed and some odd pink lighting, as well as some basic furniture. There's the usual short corridor leading to the other side entrance as well as the bathroom. The joining door to the living room is at first blocked and locked by Omar, who needs the key from his deadbeat. However, near the end of the side quest Hit and Run he moves out the way and lets you into the living room. Here you can open the main double doors if you ever need to return here, as well as find the safe hidden behind a painting on the wall. The rest of the living room is pretty normal, with some sofas, furniture and potted plants.

Notes[]

  • A metal chest can be found outside the bungalow, up against one of the walls.
  • While completing Hit and Run, a safe can be found inside the living room hidden behind a painting.
  • You can't reloot the safe once you open it in Hit and Run, so there's no point coming back to this bungalow once you have left it with Omar.
