The Bolo Machete is variant of the Machete featured in Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. It can be given as a Quest reward, sold by various Merchants and found in Metal chests or found on killed Zombies.
Overview[]
The Bolo Machete can easily be seen as a direct upgrade to the basic Machete, featuring higher damage and moderate force, with generally good durability for a sharp weapon. It does come with a quite high stamina usage, particularly for a sharp weapon, however the damage and force make up for this in a large part. The weapon has a wide swing arc which allows it to damage multiple zombies at once, making it good at crowd control or taking on individual zombies at once, such as basic Walkers or Infected. The high damage also makes it good at taking on special infected such as Thugs or Butchers.
