Dr. Reed still needs the Blood Drive to continue his research. The drive was in the possession of Dr. Bundy, who was last seen returning to the Santa Monica pier.

- The Slayers will encounter the zombified Dr. Bundy at entrance to the overrun Santa Monica Pier evacuation zone.
- Dr Bundy, named in-game as Bundy, has become a Slobber.
- This is the first appearance of the apex variant, the Butcher in Dead Island 2, in the form of Butcho the Clown.
