Blood on the Sand is an easy difficulty main quest given to the Hero by Jeannine in Dead Island.
Synopsis[]
When the Hero wakes up, Sinamoi will be fending off the Beach House from zombies. The Hero must repay their debt and save Sinamoi.
Walkthrough[]
- A cutscene will play before starting the quest. The Hero wakes up, Jack shouts at them if they can hear him before he smashes their head. The Hero finally nods, and Jack lowers his weapon.
- You get full control of the character once out of the cutscene. There are many survivors crammed into the hut, but none of them give out quests, so head straight to the front where the double doors are.
- Jeannine stops the Hero near the door to tell them that Sinamoi is fighting the zombies alone outside the Pool House.
- If you try and leave before grabbing a weapon, Wayne stops you, forcing you to grab a weapon to arm yourself with.
- There's a paddle propped next to the door, take it and prepare to fight once the door is open.
- After arming yourself, you need to help Wayne to open the door.
- Another scene plays where you see Sinamoi nearly get bitten by a Walker. The Hero freezes in place and before they can move, a zombie punches them, causing them to fall onto the sand. Sinamoi shouts at them that they must hit the zombies head to kill them.
- There's around four or so Walkers around, so start swinging that paddle to kill them. If both your paddles break, there are a few more propped up in various places, such as against a rowing boat or just sticking up in the sand. If all else fails, use your arms and legs.
- After all the zombies are dead, yet another cutscene plays where a Walker appears behind the Hero and is about to grab them. Luckily, Sinamoi kills it by throwing a knife straight at the zombie's head.
- Head back into the Beach House with Sinamoi to receive your reward and start the next quest.
Notes[]
- If starting a new game with a character who has already completed the campaign, i.e. killed White and escaped the island, they will skip this quest and be deposited in the Beach House to start the quest Passport to Life.
- When Sinamoi is talking to The Voice, when it cuts to them, in the definitive edition, one can note that he isn't wearing sleeves.
Bugs[]
- A bug may happen when Sinamoi dies short after the Hero falls on the sand, stands up and the player regains control. There are two ways to break the situation, to reload the last checkpoint or to rush to Sinamoi and hit all the zombies that attack him.
