The Battle Double Blade is a variant of the Double Blade featured in Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. It can be given as a Quest reward, sold by Merchants or found in Metal chests or dropped by killed Zombies.
Overview[]
As a double blade variant, the Battle Double Blade shares most of the same properties as its parent group. The weapon has a fast swing speed and low stamina use, with a short weapon range and uncomfortably low durability. However, the weapon has the highest damage of all the double blades, even if it has the usual low amount of force. As such, the Battle Double Blade is the best of its type for taking on Thugs and other similarly high health special infected. It can also easily deal with single Walkers and Infected, though charging into hordes is ill-advised. Due to its short weapon range, it's not the best choice of weapon to deal with Butchers either, as zombies can easily hit you before you can hit them, so dodging is the best thing to pair with the Battle Double Blade.

- Alicia Jacobs in Moresby will give one as a reward for completing her side quest Uninvited Guests.
- Sebastian at the Laboratory will give one out for completing the side quest Danse Macabre.
- Various merchants can sell Battle Double Blades:
- Rodrigue at Saint Christopher's Church can sell one, notably an orange 'legendary' rarity one.
- Eric Cotner, Kurt Keeble and Cahaya Dian in Moresby can all sell them.
- Keenan Fisher at the River Village can sell one after getting his stock back at the end of the main quest Chasing Shadows.
- Dwight Turner at the Overpass Camp can sell one after completing his side quest Visit to the Pub.
- Sebastian Black in the Mingende Jungle can sell one.
- Joel Dirt at the Laboratory can sell one.
- In Riptide, Zoey can sell one after completing a level or two of her Team Quest Best Merchandise for Zoey.
