The Bank of Henderson is a large bank located near the ferry station in Henderson in Dead Island: Riptide. It was a large bank which would have held all the town's money for people to either deposit or withdraw. When the Heroes first arrive in Henderson, they breeze past the bank on their way to the Old Town Cinema without a second thought. However, later on they can meet Jorge and before the outbreak, he was planning to rob the bank with some co-conspirators. The hero then has the option to help Jorge finish the heist and split the money with him, as when the outbreak happened the rest of his gang left him for dead. The bank is relatively empty of the undead, with only one Infected and a few Walkers outside, and a scattered amount of them inside as well.
Layout[]
The bank appears as a grand structure, built from white stone, multiple floors with an overhanging entrance which is flanked by carved columns. It was clearly designed to show off the wealth of Henderson and as something to be awed by when first entering the town via the ferry station. In front of the building is a large courtyard which has a large, ornate circular fountain in the centre. There's various benches around the area, as well as a food vendor near the bridge to get over to Henderson proper. There's a set of stairs which leads up an alleyway, but sadly it's fenced off. The entrance to the bank is up a short set of stone stairs which lead to a set of large, wooden double doors.
Inside the bank is the main floor, which is comprised of a row of serving desks in front of a bunch of office stalls. The serving desks are all uniform and standard, with a PC and wheel office chair. There's a metal detector on the right which would have been used to scan anyone going past the serving line for any metal tools or weapons. There's benches and chairs for people to use to wait, as well as a few potted plants to liven up the place. All the desks behind are standard with a computer and stationary pot, while the office at the back is enclosed with a receptionist desk which then leads to the main office.
There's a door in the right hand wall which leads to a set of stairs. These lead down to the basement and vault. The stairs lead to a short corridor, with an unusable door and a barred door leading to the vault itself. The vault doesn't have a stereotypical vault door, rather just a standard reinforced metal one which opens to reveal the vault interior. There's also no bags of money lying around, or bars of gold. Instead, rows of safes are there which could be opened to store the money bags or gold bars if that's what the bank decided to hold.
Notes[]
- There's a whole load of duffle bags in the top right hand corner of the courtyard in front of the bank which can be looted for some valuables.
- Inside the vault there's some safes that you can loot for a lot of cash.
- This is only possible while completing Perfect Plan. They will not be available in subsequent visits.
- Michael Dime, Jorge's co-conspirator, can still be found in the bank in any other visits, despite him being previously trapped in the vault.
- The bank office, and upper floor in general, is strikingly similar to that of the final room of the Moresby Police Station where you rescue Jin from in the original Dead Island.
- This is likely because they just reused the floor and shifted a few things around and added the front desks.
