The knife
The Army Knife is a melee weapon featured in Escape Dead Island. It replaces the screwdriver for making stealth kills and is overall a far better weapon than it.
Location[]
It is used by Kilo 2 in the prologue of the game as the stealth killing weapon, however it is found near the beginning of Mission 5 - A Fighting Chance when travelling through the first cave system. Keeping to the right after going up a ladder next to some GeoPharm boxes will take you though a bush. Keep going up the gentle slope to find a body with a medkit giving +1 health and the army knife next to it.
Usage[]
The army knife is a much needed replacement for the screwdriver you first get. The knife is so much better in every way as it's quicker and more silent than the screwdriver at killing zombies. Where the screwdriver takes three stabs to kill a zombie in almost 4 seconds, the army knife only requires one stab in almost 2 seconds. It allows you to kill zombies easier and quicker, with less chance of you being spotted while doing so. Because it takes less hits and less time, you can easily go through a horde of zombies silently killing them without danger of being spotted.
Notes[]
- Army Knife is same and similar to the Military Knife in previous Dead Island games.
- If you miss getting it the first time around, you have another chance during Mission 6 - Stories of the Dead, as you go back through the cave system while retrieving the final security keycard from the helipad.
