Acid Funk is a medium difficulty side quest given to the Hero by Dreyfus in Dead Island.
Synopsis[]
The Hero must travel to the cell of a known drug dealer and retrieve some drugs for Dreyfus.
Walkthrough[]
- Talk to Dreyfus to start the quest.
- He's a drug addict and he begs you to go to the cell of a prisoner who was a drug dealer and get his drugs.
- Head out of the canteen and go to cell block A, following the waypoints on your map.
- If you haven't already completed the main quest that takes place in the cell block, there'll be a lot of zombies here, including Thugs, Infected, Walkers and numerous Rams.
- The dealer's cell is on the ground floor, at the back of the cell block. However, it is locked up tight, along with the other cells if you haven't already opened them.
- Head up one floor to reach the control room to unlock the cell. You can see it from the ground by looking at the glass window that overlooks the cell block. There'll be Walkers and Infected in your way as you get to it, so be alert.
- When you reach the control room, use the control panel in front of the window to unlock the dealer's cell. There's a Walker waiting behind the door to grab you when you enter, so lead into it with a kick to disrupt the attack.
- Return to the ground floor and enter the dealer's cell.
- The drugs are in the locations as follows:
- Inside of the soap dispenser above the sink.
- Inside of the toilet bowl.
- Underneath the mattress of the second bed in a group of three beds against the north wall.
- Inside of the bed frame of the same bed you find drug #3 in. You need to remove a metal scrap to reveal the drugs.
- Once you have the last drug, return to the canteen back the way you came.
- Talk to Dreyfus to hand over the drugs and finish the quest.
Notes[]
- This quest is easy to complete at the same time as The Green Mile, as they take place in the same area and you go to the same place to open the cell up.
- It's possible to collect all the drugs without activating the drug dealer's body on the ground, which lunges at you if you get too close. Simply hug the bed and edge forwards until you can collect the drug from under the mattress. The body won't come alive and you can go about your day zombie free!
